Volunteer

At Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, we have several meaningful ways for you to make an impact. One of the best ways to join our mission of inclusion and support is by volunteering with us! Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:

Life Groups
Each quarter, we host Life Groups where families and individuals with Down syndrome gather to connect, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. Volunteers play a big role in making these gatherings special! You can help by:

  • Providing childcare so parents can take a break
  • Capturing memorable moments with your photography skills
  • Joining in as a buddy for our junior high, senior high, and adult friends

Special Events
Throughout the year, DSGO organizes exciting events like our annual Step Up and Splash for Down Syndrome, World Down Syndrome Day, Santa's Workshop, and more. These events offer unique ways for volunteers to get involved, from helping with setup and registration to cheering on participants and making sure everyone has a fantastic time.
